About

In this webinar we will showcase the innovative tools developed within the GEN4OLIVE project, enabling researchers, growers, and stakeholders to leverage cutting-edge technologies in olive breeding and pest management.

This online event will highlight the public demonstration and detailed explanation of the GEN4OLIVE Search Engine, a sophisticated and user-friendly database platform. Additionally, the event will showcase an innovative App powered by Machine Learning, designed to predict and identify olive cultivars based on photos of their endocarps (stones) and to detect olive diseases and pests through the analysis of symptom images.

GEN4OLIVE Search Engine

The GEN4OLIVE Search Engine (database) is a powerful and user-friendly platform accessible via both website and app. The engine contains comprehensive details of the olive cultivars analysed and characterised during the GEN4OLIVE project, offering unparalleled insights for researchers and industry professionals.

GEN4OLIVE APPs

In addition, two innovative apps developed through the project will be presented

    • A Machine Learning and AI-powered application capable of predicting and identifying an olive cultivar from a photo of its endocarp (stone).
    • An AI-based application that can identify olive diseases and pests using images of symptoms.

These tools represent a significant leap forward in agricultural technology, empowering users with real-time, accurate, and actionable data for olive breeding and management.
