GEN4OLIVE project launched its 2nd Open Call for SMEs Proposals on October 20th, 2022 in the topic of olive breeding plans design and validation activities. The Call was open until January 25th, 2023. The total available budget for this call was €250.000. SMEs could apply for funding up to €10.000 per Individual Project.

The 2nd Call for Proposals funded olive breeding plan design and its validation activities.
The proposals had to start from previous research results related to GEN4OLIVE project in order to design their own breeding plans by: (1) taking advantage of the existing olive genetic resources in and out of the Germplasm Banks, and (2) applying short activities to demonstrate the feasibility of those plans
Eligible countries
SMEs established in EU member states, H2020 associated countries or H2020 third countries interested in olive breeding activities could apply to the 2nd Call. They are the end-users of Germplasm Banks: mainly breeders, olive farmers and olive oil or table olives producers etc.
Selected projects will enhance transfer between GEN4OLIVE partners and SMEs.
