The overall objective of GEN4OLIVE project is to accelerate the mobilisation of Olive GenRes and enhance olive pre-breeding activities through a multi-actor approach, by:
1. Developing easy-to-use tools to leverage the information collected through a smart user-friendly interface that will implement big data and machine learning utilities.
2. Involving SMEs through the launching of specific calls and financial support.
· To enhance the management and use of Olive GenRes through the definition of harmonised protocols, the identification of end-users needs and linking with other projects.
· To enhance the preservation, evaluation and use of Olive GenRes for improving the olive breeding and the delivery of new varieties.
· To leverage the information available through the development of a smart and user-friendly interface.
· To foster the involvement of SMEs in the pre-breeding activities.
· To enhance the inter-actor cooperation through co-creation, capacity-building and results sharing
